Happening Now

This pandemic has shown failures, mistakes and loss of a job/loved ones but remember all these are the unavoidable part of life.

No doubt setbacks in life make us sad and demotivated & It is absolutely OK to feel sad but it is not OK to linger on in the state of being NOT OK for a longer time.

The prolonged state of sadness can turn into depression. As we see increasing day by day.

Learn to differentiate between normal grief and depression…..If the depressed mood stays longer than two weeks, the person should seek professional help.

In grief, painful feelings come in waves, but in major depression, the mood remains consistently sad for at least two weeks.

In grief, self-esteem is usually maintained. In major depression, feelings of worthlessness are common.

In grief, thoughts of death may surface once in a while, but in major depression, suicidal thoughts remain persistent.

Depression is a bottomless pit. Once you are stuck in it, you will sink deeper and deeper. Seek help before it's too late.

Keep following my posts for a dose of inspiration which we all need during this troubled times.
