Priyalakshmi Gogoi has been born and brought up in the beautiful city of Guwahati, Assam in the North East of India. Passionate about living life to the fullest, she is simple and an amiable person at heart. With vast professional experiences in various corporate sectors, she is currently working as a Teacher and is contented to fulfill her zeal and passion for imparting education. When she is not teaching, she loves to pour out her heart through her words, she loves cooking, reading and listening to music. Priyalakshmi firmly believes in keeping one's inner light burning bright and facing all adversities with courage and strength. She loves to find happiness within herself and create moments to make life worth living.
Her literary work:
*Priyalakshmi Gogoi started writing at the age of 10 yrs. Her first poem, "The Night Sky" was published when she was in class VI in The Assam Tribune which is one of the most popular English newspaper. Since then she has been continuing with her passion for writing and published poems in the newspaper. She also won Poetry contests in the mentioned newspaper and has been contributing her work to other newspapers in her city.
* Her poetry has also been published in blogs, Instagram, National and International Anthologies and web journal. She has been awarded several times for winning Poetry contests in literary platforms.
*She has been awarded the 75th Independence Day Literary Honor on 15th August, 2021 jointly given by Motivational Strips and Gujarat Sahitya Academy in "Recognition of Exhibiting Literary Brilliance Par Global Standards".
*She has been awarded Honorary Membership, The Gold Writers Award among others for her Poetic excellence by the prestigious Drukyul Witers Association, Bhutan.

1)Encourage Others
Encouragement is a virtue divine
With your words you can make people shine
Encouragement can help someone spring up and bloom
They may be spending their days in gloom.
It is an act of kindness which you may not know
Few words of encouragement lets love flow
Make people happy wherever you go
Encouraging others will let your spirit glow.
No one is ever too busy to support with a few words
You can give wings and let people fly like birds
We already have got too many critics
Why not lend your words and become artistic?
Encouraging others also speaks a lot about you
In the process, you become humble and get encouraged too
Encourage and become a rainbow in someone's life,
You never know how they might be undergoing strife.
Be open and start encouraging
It is infectious so start transmitting.
By encouraging you can become someone's inspiration
Your words are treasure, use them for motivation.

2) O Woman! Thou art unique
Holding the world on your shoulders,
Women, you wear your crown with pride
The maker of unconditional love,
Soft and powerful, you can take everything in your stride.
You are the symbol of Life
You are a work of art when unfurled
An epitome of patience and sacrifice,
Practical and spiritual, you are a gift to the world.
You are a museum of art
Sometimes real and sometimes abstract
Your life is the canvas where you have painted stories
With colours bold and beautiful that attract.
You never give up nor you play victim
You do not fear the fire for you are the fire yourself
O' Woman! Thou art unique
You carry valour in your heart, you are the universe thyself.
