The Christmas Spirit

The Christmas Spirit

Christmas is around,

The carols and the parang,

You can hear everywhere,

Melodies that warm the cold air.

Decorations and lights,

Colors of many hues,

Everyone can see,

A festive kaleidoscope, beautiful to see.

Hearts of many,

The heavy hearts,

Carrying sadness and memories,

Of times gone by, of cherished histories.

Hearts of joy,

That share laughter,

And joy everywhere,

Uniting all in festive care.

The scent of pine and cinnamon,

The warmth of cocoa and home made wine,

Gathered around the hearth,

Stories old and new, shared in time.

Children's eyes wide with wonder,

Gifts wrapped in paper, under the tree,

Santa's magic, reindeer thunder,

A time of pure, so happy, so free.

Yet amidst the sparkle and cheer,

There lies a space for quiet reflection,

For those we’ve lost, for those not near,

In the midst of joy, a gentle connection.

For Christmas is a time of giving,

Of hope renewed, of hearts forgiving,

A season that transcends all sorrow,

Promising a brighter tomorrow.

So let the carols and the parang play,

Let the lights twinkle and the children sway,

For in each heart, heavy or light,

The Christmas spirit shines ever bright.
