The Distance Between Us
In the quiet whispers of the night,
We bridge the gap with words and light.
Our love, a beacon in the dark,
Sparks fly through the miles apart.
Days pass, and silence grows,
An ache within that only knows
The longing touch, the absent kiss,
A love defined by what we miss.
Challenges rise like tides at sea,
Doubt and fear, they visit me.
But through the storm, we hold our ground,
In your voice, my heart is found.
Scratches on the heart and soul,
Every tear, a heavy toll.
Yet in the struggle, strength we gain,
A love that's tempered by the pain.
Letters, calls, and video screens,
We share our worlds, our hopes, our dreams.
In every word, a piece of you,
Reminds me that our love is true.
For every night of lonely tears,
There's a morning that dispels our fears.
A sunrise bright, a fresh new day,
Our love, resilient, finds its way.
The distance, vast, may stretch and strain,
But hearts in love will bear the pain.
For in the end, when all is told,
Our story's worth its weight in gold.
