The Ties That Bind

How to keep a relationship:

Be honest in your words and deeds,

Sow the seeds of trust, and nurture them with care,

Leave the past behind, let old wounds heal,

Open your heart, and always communicate,

See the beauty in flaws, appreciate what’s real.

Become best friends, the foundation strong,

Be there for one another, where you belong,

Talk about the good, share in the bad,

In joy and sorrow, both happy and sad.

Make time for each other, amidst life's demands,

Hold each other close, with gentle hands,

Know that happiness won't always reign,

Arguments are normal, part of love's terrain.

But through it all, let your love remain,

Unconditionally, let it withstand the strain,

For in the end, it’s love that binds,

Two hearts together, two souls entwined.
